Boysen: Consistently Trusted, Consistently Ahead
Trust is the key to longevity. A true market leader knows that its existence depends largely on its pool of satisfied customers who learn to trust the product for its consistent quality. When trust is built, loyalty is earned and we see the product transform to a ‘trusted brand’ that stays for years.
Once again, Boysen Paints has proven that it is not only the nation’s undisputed market leader, but it is the Most Trusted Brand by virtue of its being awarded Platinum Status by Reader’s Digest Asia for the second year in a row. A trusted survey has one again recognized an equally trusted brand.
Currently in its ninth year, Reader’s Digest Asia Trusted Brands is recognized for being one of the most representative and transparent branding surveys in Asia. Research shows that 76% trust the result of this survey because it is 100% consumer based. It is consumers themselves from the 7 key Asian markets of Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines who identify the nominees, give the criteria and ultimately determine the results—no product prompting, multiple choices or fill in the blanks. In this survey, only the consumer’s voice is heard.
Brands who excelled in the six core qualities of trustworthiness, credibility of image, quality, value, how well each brand understands consumers' needs, and its ability to innovate, the Gold and Platinum awards were given out by Reader’s Digest. The Gold Trusted Brand award went to brands that score well above their competitors, while the Platinum Trusted Brand award was given to competitors that have achieved a rating score of at least double of their next competitor and have reached an average overall quality rate of 4 out 5. The Platinum status is indeed an immense recognition of trust and product dominance, made even more extraordinary Boysen Paints, a proudly-made Philippine brand that is one of only three paint brands to be awarded the Platinum award in Asia.
To transcend previous limits, to discover new abilities – this is how Boysen Paint responds to the trust that consumers have given them. It continues to deliver innovative ideas and create market needs that set a new standard while advocating environmental preservation. The company, which is among the top 50 paint companies in the world, has collaborated with other world class companies to bring unique products to the Filipino paint market. Its revolutionary product, Virtuoso Silk Touch, is the first paint in the world to have Teflon® non-stick and Microban® anti-microbial technology. The incorporation of Teflon makes Virtuoso Silk Touch the first local paint to uniquely combine the aesthetic elegance of flat paint with the washability of glossy paints. Boysen has also teamed up with Microban, the world’s leading anti-microbial brand, to provide Virtuoso and Boysen Healthy Home with effective yet safe protection against bacteria, mold and fungus on painted surfaces.
Boysen, which introduced the first mercury free latex paints in the Philippines and has been selling lead free latex paints in the country for decades, has been a paint innovator in the international stage. It was also the first paint company in the world to introduce a water-based pollution resistant exterior coating, Boysen® WallguardTM; and pioneered Primeguard, Southeast Asia’s first water-based metal primer, and Acqua Epoxy, the region’s first water-based acrylic epoxy paint. It was also the first Philippine paint company to be awarded Responsible Care®, the global chemical industry’s environment, health and safety initiative to drive continuous improvement in performance in these areas. The company’s main manufacturing plant in Cavite, the largest and most modern paint factory in Southeast Asia, is also the first Filipino paint company to receive ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Certification.
