I have a 3 story building constructed last 2003. All exterior walls were painted with boysen plexibond and top coated with boysen raw sheina latex paint. All interior walls was also painted except the 3rd floor. During rainy season with heavy downpour, I noticed minimal water sippage in some areas in the ground and 2nd floors. The 3rd floor (still with bare concrete wall finish) is worse since most of the interior walls are always moistened or wet. I suspect that the paint application in the exterior walls was not properly followed. I am now planning to repaint all exterior walls of my building this summer to solve rain water sippage into the interior of the building. Can you give me the appropriate boysen products and the correct paint application procedures to correct and repaint the exterior walls of my building.
Thanks.

Dear dennis, Thank you for your interest in our products and services! Would you know how many coats of Boysen® Plexibond™#7760 was applied on your exterior walls? As a standard, we recommend at least three (3) coats for vertical surfaces. At this point however, given the present condition of your building, we encourage you to try our sister brand’s elastomeric paint system: Titan Superflex Elastomeric Paint from McGills Chemicals Corporation. This serves to alleviate water ingress by bridging hairline cracks and minor gaps. Three (3) coats of the product is suggested in order to produce a good film build. Please include patching up visible cracks and gaps with our Boysen® Acrytex™ Cast #1711 prior to finishing. Lastly, try to observe if the source of the seepage may seem to be emanating from the beam line or construction joints. Such locations are best addressed by corrective civil works (i.e., construction gap sealants) since painting alone will not suffice. For more details on the features and benefits as well as application procedures of the aforementioned products, kindly visit our main website at www.boysen.com.ph. Should you need more clarification on the matter, please feel free to contact us again. Thank you for your continued patronage! Very truly yours, Vergel V. Dear kimosave523, Thank you for your interest in our products and services! Kindly allow us to rephrase and answer your queries point-by-point: 1. Decore paint can be painted on exteriors? Decore is for interior application only. 2. What kind of paint to apply similar to Decore for exterior use? There is no equivalent yet for exterior use. 3. What kind of clear top coat should be used? Not applicable following the answers to 1 and 2. Details about the use of our Boysen® Decore™ may be found in our main website: www.boysen.com.ph. Furthermore, please visit the “Choose Your Paint” icon for alternatives to finish your paint job. There’s a feature that should help you also with estimating your actual paint requirements by clicking on the “Paint Calculator” at the bottom of each product selection. We hope that you would find our newly improved website helpful. Should you need more clarification on the matter, please feel free to contact us again. Thank you for your continued patronage!
